Emma Ronsiek scored 23 points and Lauren Jensen scored 19 and 20. Creighton controlled early in an 85-66 win over Northern Iowa.

Except for a little over two minutes, the Bluejays held the lead. Molly Mogensen’s 7-12 layup in the first quarter gave Creighton a 6-5 lead and the Bluejays were never behind again.

Maya McDermott scored 14 points and reserve Ryley Goebel scored 14 for Northern Iowa.

CONWAY, SC (AP) — Marcus Shaver Jr. scored 20 points and hit a career-high with 10 rebounds, Tyson Degenhart added 14 points and seven rebounds and Boise State beat Colorado 68-55 in the fifth-place playoff at the Myrtle Beach Invitational.

Naje Smith scored 10 points on 5-of-7 shooting before fouling for Boise State (3-2) about 12 minutes before the game. Shaver scored eight points on a 13-4 run — topped by his 3-point, steal and fast-break layup — that made it 19-10 with 12 minutes remaining in the first half, and Boise State ( 3-2) led the rest of the way.

Boise State made just 12-of-17 from the free-throw line but hit 10-of-10 in the last five minutes to fend off Colorado.

Pickett and Lundy led Penn St. past Colorado State 68-56

CHARLESTON, SC (AP) — Seth Lundy had 17 points and eight rebounds, Jalen Pickett added 16 points and 11 boards and Penn State never fell short in a 68-56 win over Colorado State at the Shriners Children’s Charleston Classic.

Lundy, Kebba Njie and Myles Dread each hit a 3-pointer during a 13-0 opening run and Penn State (5-1) led the rest of the way.

Isaiah Rivera led Colorado State (4-2) with 15 points and five assists. John Tonje scored 14 points and grabbed 13 rebounds and Patrick Cartier added 11 points. The Rams shot just 33% (21 of 64) from the field and hit just 6 of 30 (20%) from 3-point range.

Drake defeated Wyoming 61-56

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, VIRGIN ISLANDS (AP) — Led by Tucker DeVries’ 29 points, the Drake Bulldogs defeated the Wyoming Cowboys 61-56 Sunday night.

The Bulldogs improved to 4-0 with the win and the Cowboys fell back to 3-2.

Hawkins sparks Stephen F. Austin at South Dakota St, 93-82

BROOKINGS, SD (AP) – Nigel Hawkins came off the bench, scored 25 points and ignited Stephen F. Austin to a 93-82 win over South Dakota State.

The Lumberjacks, who scored 53 points and 18 rebounds from their bench, dominated the glass and claimed the win by throwing in 33 rebounds, 11 from the offensive glass. South Dakota State managed just 16 boards, all but one outside the defensive glass.

Zeke Mayo knocked down 4 of 9 3-pointers to lead South Dakota State by 24 points.
