How Fare the Clark County College Football Players Fared, Nov. 19

College football’s limelight turned to Montana Saturday in a game that saw some highlights from Clark County players.

ESPN’s College Gameday visited Montana State University in Bozeman ahead of the 3rd-ranked Bobcats’ rivalry game against 12th-ranked Montana.

The Gameday crew picked the state of Montana to win, and they were right. Rush Reimer, a Camas High grad, started with the left tackle and helped the Bobcats win 55-21 from 561 yards of offense.

Montana State player Bryce Leighton (Camas) was also ready to play in the regular season Finals. One problem: The Bobcats offensive was so successful that Leighton never punted.

Two players from Clark County, Montana had an impact on losing.

Cole Grossman (Skyview) started in the tight end and had two catches for 46 yards, including a 32-yard touchdown. The redshirt sophomore ranks third on the team with 22 catches. His four touchdown catches ranks second on the team.

Senior linebacker Michael Matthews (Camas) had four tackles in the second straight game for the Grizzlies.

Both teams are excited to see who they will face in the first round of the FCS Playoffs.

So did other Clark County college football players. Note: A blank entry means the player’s team had a bye week.
